investments at the site are continuing: Tuesday saw the ground-breaking for the future building of the new powder coating plant, which Waldner plans to put into operation in autumn 2025. A further step towards ultra-modern and sustainable production.
The ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of another chapter in the modernisation of metal production at Waldner: the future site for a state-of-the-art powder coating facility is being built on an area of around 800 square metres. The total investment for the building and plant amounts to almost 4 million euros. The new powder coating facility is scheduled to go into operation in autumn 2025 and will significantly increase capacities in the area of surface coating.
This latest investment will make it possible to map the Group's entire metal production in Wangen and optimise production processes even better in future. The quality of powder coating for all metal components in the entire Waldner product portfolio will be further improved as a result. The new system also contributes to more sustainable production, as it is much more energy-efficient.
‘This investment is a clear commitment to our headquarters here in Wangen and to Germany as a business location,’ says Jochen Früh, CEO of the Waldner Group. Overall, Waldner has been investing at the Wangen site since the beginning of 2024 to modernise the production of both laboratory room solutions and metal processing. The new systems, such as CNC processing centres for laboratory and metal production or a new powder coating system, not only increase production output, but also expand the production spectrum at the headquarters. The total investment will ultimately amount to over 11 million euros.
